Minions are small, yellow, cylindrical creatures who have one or two eyes and speak an incomprehensible language. They made their debut appearance in the 2010 animated film Despicable Me as little henchmen who serve the supervillain Gru.

With their unique style and mannerisms, Minions have become hugely popular animated characters. Their distinguishing features include their dungaree overalls and goggled eyes. Minions display erratic behavior and simple-mindedness but are fiercely loyal to their master. They possess great enthusiasm and a zest for life.

Minions love bananas and enjoy singing, dancing and joking around with each other. They speak ‘Minionese’, a funny, gibberish language. Their high-pitched voices and nonsense words like ‘bello’ and ‘poopayee’ make them highly amusing.

Though impish and naive, Minions are basically kind-hearted and want to serve the most despicable master they can find. These small, pill-shaped sidekicks bring plenty of upbeat energy and fun wherever they go. Their cute nature and slapstick humor make them beloved animated icons.
