Princesses are often seen as icons of elegance, grace and beauty. Typically the daughter of a king and queen, a princess lives a life of privilege and luxury. She resides in a magnificent castle or palace, surrounded by servants who cater to her every need. Her days are spent being pampered and primped – dressing in the finest gowns and jewels, having her hair styled and enjoying grand meals in the dining hall.

In fairy tales, princesses are beautiful damsels, usually with long flowing hair and soft skin. They sing to forest animals and spend their time wandering castle grounds or dreaming by windows. Princesses encounter magic, romance and adventure – whether it’s being awakened by a prince’s kiss or riding on a flying carpet.

While modern day royalty has evolved, princesses still retain an air of refinement and glamour. Little girls dream of being princesses, envisioning themselves wearing shiny tiaras and twirling in ballgowns.
