Santa Claus is the legendary figure who delivers gifts to children on Christmas Eve. He is recognizable by his red suit with white fur trim, black leather belt and boots, and long white beard.

Santa Claus is commonly depicted as a jolly old man with rosy red cheeks and a plump belly. He laughs merrily with a deep “Ho, Ho, Ho” and sparkling eyes that reflect kindness and joy. Santa resides at the North Pole where he and his helpful elves make toys in his workshop all year long.

On Christmas Eve, Santa loads up his sleigh which is led by flying reindeer like Rudolph. He then travels the world, entering homes through chimneys to leave gifts under the Christmas tree for good boys and girls. Children leave out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve and wake up to discover presents from him on Christmas morning.

The beloved figure of Santa Claus represents the magic and wonder of childhood and the spirit of giving. For children, there is no greater thrill than seeing the gifts that Santa brought on Christmas day after dreaming of his arrival on Christmas Eve.
